This research was motivated by the low learning motivation
of students and the limited use of teaching approaches that address affective
and emotional domains. The aim of this study was to develop two instructional
products—namely, a teaching module for IPAS Chapter 5 based on hypnoteaching
with a positive language approach and its development guidebook—to enhance the
learning motivation of fifth-grade students at MIN 2 Tegal. This study employed
a Research and Development (R&D) method referring to the Borg & Gall
model as simplified by Sugiyono, consisting of six stages: needs analysis,
product design, expert validation, limited trial, product revision, and
effectiveness testing. The research subjects were 30 students from class V-B,
and data were collected through observation, interviews, and learning
motivation questionnaires. Validation by five experts resulted in an average
feasibility score of 4.00 (categorized as "very feasible").
Effectiveness testing using N-Gain analysis and a paired sample t-test showed a
significant increase in students’ learning motivation, from 60% to 83%, with an
N-Gain of 0.65 (moderate–high category) and a t-value of 8.91 (p < 0.05). It
can be concluded that the developed products are highly feasible and effective
in improving learning motivation and can serve as references for developing
thematic instructional tools based on hypnoteaching and positive language in
primary education contexts
